Server layer that ships
Backend and API development for the screens that call it
APIs, auth, and data for the product — scoped with the client, not a generic CRUD dump.
We build the server layer your iOS, Android, or web app calls: accounts when they are required, stored data, and third-party APIs the product depends on. We use Node.js, Firebase, and Next.js where a small API belongs with the product. We do not list Java, .NET, or Python.
If you only need pages and SEO, that is web development. If the work is a signed-in product in the browser, that is web application development. App and MVP projects already include backend when the brief needs it — ask for a named API slice when that is the main job.
Delivery is remote from the Auckland studio. How we work from Auckland.
What you get
API design for the screens you have
Contracts the mobile or web app will call — not a generic CRUD dump.
Auth when the job needs it
We will not add accounts for decoration.
A data layer you can keep
Stored records and environments that can grow with the product.
Production deploy
Handover and support terms in the statement of work.
A product that needs a server layer
BrainSync AI only works if thoughts, reminders, and search persist — a data layer, not a static screen.
FAQ
Is backend included in app and MVP work?
When the brief needs it, yes. An MVP keeps the slice small: enough server to prove the job, with a structure that can grow.
Will you take this if we only want APIs, with no user-facing app?
We can scope APIs and auth as a slice. The default is a product with a real screen so the contract is tested.
Need an API the product can run on?
Tell us who calls the server and what must persist. We will scope auth, the contract, and a stack we already ship.
