Phones first
Mobile app development when the product lives on a phone
iOS, Android, or both — with App Store and Play Store submission in the brief, not as an afterthought.
A mobile app is not a website: notifications, one-handed use, store rules, and a first screen that works without a manual. We build native where the platform needs it, and a shared Kotlin Multiplatform core when both stores are in scope — as on Ghost Mode. We will not add a second store if the first release does not need it, and we do not advertise React Native or Flutter.
Choose mobile when the product lives on phones and you have not locked a single store yet. iPhone-only is iOS app development. Android-only is Android app development. A product that might also be a web app is custom app development. A first version in weeks is MVP development.
Delivery is remote from the Auckland studio. How we work from Auckland.
What you get
A platform decision in writing
iOS, Android, or both — named in the proposal, not upsold at launch.
Store-ready delivery
App Store and Play Store submission. Review timing belongs to Apple and Google.
Performance on real phones
Kotlin-first Android, Swift and SwiftUI on iOS. QA on devices, not only a browser toolbar.
UI for thumbs
One primary action on the first screen.
A mobile product we shipped
Ghost Mode is live on iOS and Android, with a shared core so the product rules do not drift.
FAQ
How long does a mobile app take?
Mobile MVPs often ship in 1–2 weeks after kickoff. Ghost Mode’s published timeline is 4 weeks, in production. Larger apps are scoped separately.
Will you take this if we only need a website?
No — that is web development. If you already know it is iPhone-only or Android-only, we will scope that platform.
Building for the home screen?
Tell us iOS, Android, or both. We will come back with a platform recommendation and a scoped proposal.
